Role expectations

• Align on company goals, priorities, and timelines with key stakeholders (Product, Eng, Marketing) and drive towards measurable business impact
• Plan and execute work with limited support, and decompose work for others as needed (other functions vendors)
• Identify target user groups and carry out qualitative research to support product discovery and deep understanding of user needs
• Outside-in research of comparable and competitive solutions to help identify best practices, and source ideas
• Partner with product to define generalized information architecture for key use cases
• Directly develop and iterate on UX design for complex and broad product from conception to engineering hand-over
• Drive concept and usability testing with product and engineering support
• Ensure timely delivery of design to keep the product development team unblocked while maintaining high quality bar

Requirements

• Proficiency with Figma
• 7+ years of success in product UX design for consumer Android apps
• Experience building product 0 to 1, ideally in a new category
• Knowledge of rapid prototyping tools is a plus
• A portfolio of previous work demonstrating successful design solutions
• Deep empathy for the underserved audiences, direct experience is a plus
• Remote or hybrid work opportunity: preferred location in Bay Area and willing to meet in a coworking space 2-3 days a week; will consider remote with up to 20% travel
