Position OverviewAs the Senior Business Development Manager - Managed Care and Healthcare Markets, you will be a key strategic driver in expanding TCARE’s market presence. Reporting directly to the EVP of Execution & Growth, you will lead the development and execution of our high-level sales strategy, manage executive-level client relationships, and guide complex deal negotiations with regional and national healthcare organizations. This role demands a visionary leader who can merge deep industry expertise with a consultative, results-oriented approach to secure sustainable partnerships.
This position is based in St. Louis, MO, with travel as needed to support client engagements.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Sales Leadership- Executive Outreach: Lead high-level engagements with C-suite executives and decision-makers across regional and national MCOs, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), and key healthcare entities. Qualified candidates will have experience building relationships with MCOs, specifically those serving populations such as Medicaid Managed Long-Term Services & Supports (MLTSS), Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), Child Welfare, and Special Needs Plans (SNPs).
- Complex Deal Structuring: Oversee the entire sales cycle—from identifying high-value opportunities and crafting tailored business cases to negotiating six to seven-figure agreements.
- Thought Leadership: Represent TCARE at industry conferences and panels, contributing to thought leadership initiatives and positioning the company as an innovative leader in managed care.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to design and execute a comprehensive market strategy, identifying emerging trends and innovative opportunities in healthcare delivery and managed care.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize advanced analytics, CRM platforms, and AI-powered tools to guide strategic decision-making, optimize outreach efforts, and forecast market trends.
- Executive Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain long-term, strategic partnerships with healthcare executives, state agency leaders, and key influencers in the managed care ecosystem.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to business development team members, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the team’s continuous development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, client success, and clinical operations teams to ensure integrated solutions that align with overall organizational goals.
- Innovative Solutions: Drive the development of new business initiatives, including strategic programs like our self-service platforms, ensuring alignment with evolving market needs.
- Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance metrics, driving continuous improvement in sales execution and contributing directly to sustainable revenue growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to refine service offerings, streamline registration processes, and launch innovative outreach programs.
- Extensive Expertise: Senior-level experience in business development, sales, or client engagement—preferably within healthcare or managed care markets.
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated track record of securing enterprise-level deals and leading complex sales initiatives with significant revenue impact.
- Industry Insight: Deep understanding of managed care, including Medicaid Managed Long-Term Services & Supports (MLTSS), Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), Child Welfare, and Special Needs Plans (SNPs).
