Director of Business Operations
Swap Health
About the Company
Swap Health is a rapidly growing, venture-backed healthcare startup that is revolutionizing the role of healthy food in the healthcare industry. Our innovative approach helps people from all walks of life eat healthier and live longer, fuller lives by making clinically-recommended nutrition simple and accessible.
Our approach is resonating; we are partnered with some of the biggest healthcare systems in the country, have contracts with every major health insurer, and have helped thousands of patients eat better.
Swap is a fast-paced startup. We move quickly, learn even faster, and need a hands-on operator who can take clear business needs and ship deliverables that solve them, tighten our finance & governance plumbing, and tackle high impact cross-functional projects—while ruthlessly ignoring everything that isn’t mission-critical to the task at hand.
About the Role
Swap is reinventing how nutrition care reaches patients and we’re growing quickly. As our Director of Business Operations, you’ll sit at the nerve-center of that growth, turning raw data, insights, and scrappy processes into a high-powered operating engine that lets the rest of the company run faster.
In your first 30 days you’ll launch a live KPI dashboard the leadership team will open every morning, tighten our finance and governance plumbing , and knock out one high-impact special project that removes real friction for clinicians or patients. You’ll do it as a “team of one” at the start, with direct access to the CEO and a blank canvas to build the systems you’ve always wished existed elsewhere.
This role is a chance to own the way a healthcare startup scales. You’ll wield AI tools to shorten learning curves for yourself and the rest of the team, then layer in your own judgment to ship solutions that stick. You’ll decide what not to do as ruthlessly as what must ship next, practicing the kind of focus that turns 10x ideas into 10x results.
As Swap’s footprint expands, so will your scope: you’ll define the next wave of Ops initiatives, shape strategic decisions, and see the direct impact of your work in the health outcomes of thousands of patients. If you’re hungry to learn new domains at lightning speed, obsessed with execution, and ready to build the operating backbone of a mission-driven company, this is the role for you.

- Continuously Improve Processes: Identify bottlenecks, ruthlessly prioritize fixes, and deploy scalable solutions using AI, RPA, or low-code tools
- Communication & Alignment: Surface the single most important focus area at any moment, articulate trade-offs, and keep leadership looped in with crisp written and verbal updates
