As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will be critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of SteadyIQ's infrastructure and applications. Collaborating with engineering, QA, product, and business teams, you will design and implement solutions that align with the CIA triad (confidentiality, integrity, availability) while supporting major B2G initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure technologies, including CI/CD pipelines, event-driven systems, and big data platforms.
  • Define appropriate SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to maintain system reliability using tools like Datadog (preferred) or similar technologies.
  • Develop and deploy operational metrics to establish systems, pipelines, and product development standards.
  • Proactively monitor and bolster the culture of observability and reliability for infrastructure, applications, and data flows.
  • Design and implement technical solutions for high-impact challenges, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring only meaningful alerts are escalated.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement incident response plans, emphasizing automation and reliability improvements.
  • Collaborate inter-departmentally to ensure seamless feature delivery and maintain system uptime.
  • Engage in all agile software development lifecycle phases in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Through SIEMs, AWS Security Hub, and Falco, you can optimize AWS costs, manage advanced networking configurations, and enhance system reliability.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term strategy of SteadyIQ.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of SRE, or software development experience with a DevOps background.
  • Core Skills:
  • Expertise in container deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) and Infrastructure as Code (OpenTofu, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and service mesh technologies (Istio).
  • Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX internals and AWS ecosystem components (e.g., Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions).
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis).
  • Advanced knowledge of DevSecOps principles, APM, log monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience developing Python.
  • Reliability & Observability:
  • Proven ability to define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to maintain system reliability.
  • Experience developing operational metrics and enhancing system observability.
  • Compliance & Security:
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO, NIST, or FedRAMP frameworks.
  • Proficiency with SIEM tools, AWS Security Hub, Falco, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work across teams and align stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Databricks, AWS Analytics, Tableau, and or other data analytics platforms.
  • Advanced networking knowledge, including load balancers, firewalls, and routing.
  • Fintech or similar experience in environments with clearly defined SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
  • Hands-on experience in SOC 2 Type 2-compliant environments.
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes Certified Administrator.
  • Engagement in open-source communities is a plus.

Total Compensation Package

  • The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000.
  • This position is eligible for equity.
