FlyteHealth (https://www.flytehealth.com) helps individuals living with obesity through a comprehensive solution that includes lifestyle management (weight management, hypertension and diabetes) and clinical management (GLP-1 administration). FlyteHealth partners with payers/PBMs, consultants and care navigators to reach employer groups in the private, public and labor space to maximize employee benefits.
The Role:
The Health Coach is responsible for leading telephonic, video, or web-based individual or group meetings to address a healthy lifestyle for weight loss and weight management for patients with overweight and obesity.
The position is a telecommuting role that can be based anywhere in the U.S., and as such requires the ability to work remotely, with a dedicated, private workspace and high-speed Internet access appropriate for conducting phone and virtual coaching sessions. Professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion are key.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Flyte education and coaching to assist patients in implementing their individualized nutrition and care plan
- Deliver the tenets of healthy lifestyle change in a variety of settings including but not limited to:
- Synchronous small group sessions
- Synchronous individual coaching sessions
- Asynchronous reactive and proactive coaching via Flyte platform
- Address patient status changes with Flyte medical staff in a detailed, timely, and effective manner
- Empathize, connect, and partner with patients to ensure personal success and sustainability using various counseling techniques including, but not limited to motivational interviewing and patient-centered goal setting
- Uphold company values and maintain a strong team dynamic including sharing your specific expertise with your teammates
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, other health-related field or Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurse, Registered Exercise Physiologist
- Prior experience working with patients directly in the following areas: outpatient nutrition counseling, motivational interviewing, using and/or implementing various behavior change techniques, health coaching, health counseling, mental health counseling, etc
- Familiarity with AOMs, including GLP-1s, and their role in cardiometabolic health
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to utilize diverse modes of communication. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
- High EQ and empathy with the ability to work with different personalities through times of change
Working Conditions:
- The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fully remote environment, leveraging multiple synchronous and asynchronous communication platforms (Zoom, Slack, GSuite, etc.) within their daily workflow
