The Role:

We are looking for a Patient Support Coordinator to join our growing team to optimize the use of FlyteHealth’s Evolve platform and EMR to handle various administrative duties for the practice as well as tend to patient and provider needs. This role will primarily focus on scheduling patient appointments based on customer contracts, send and receive patient records and documents, optimize practice front office workflows. Duties may also include (but are not limited to): registering patient demographic and insurance information across multiple platforms, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, triaging and taking messages for patient calls, and collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurses (RNs), and registered dieticians (RDs) to ensure high-quality and reliable care. As new staff is hired, you may also be asked to assist in the onboarding and training process. This role is currently a remote position, and will likely remain remote for the foreseeable future, but subject to change as the company grows and evolves.

Please note that the role will likely follow the schedule below:

Hours (all times in EST):

  • Monday: 8:30am - 6pm
  • Tuesday: 12pm-9pm
  • Wednesday: 12pm-9pm
  • Thursday: 9am-6pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-5pm

To be successful as a Patient Support Coordinator at FlyteHealth, you should possess excellent communication, teamwork and management skills, be empathic but resolute in your decision-making, be attentive to detail, and exhibit cultural competence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Verify insurance eligibility
  • Manage patient payments
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Maintain clear communications with patients and providers

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in provider office settings
  • 2+ years of experience in a call center or as a receptionist for a busy practice
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reside within the US
