Role:

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building the foundation that makes this possible. You will shape how providers and clinical staff engage with our product, administer unique clinical programs to patients, and achieve the best clinical outcomes as a practice. The systems you develop will impact the product experience from when a patient is first introduced to our treatment model to appointments that make the most use of the provider’s and patient's time.

Your work will directly influence how patients receive the best treatment possible. As the company grows, the care delivery experience you help build will determine how well FlyteHealth can scale without losing clinical rigor, patient trust, or speed.

In short, this role matters because better provider and clinical staff experiences lead to better health outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

Build and Scale FlyteHealth’s Products

• Design and maintain reliable, scalable features across our products
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to identify best solutions given situational constraints

Enable Providers and Clinical Staff to Achieve Their Highest Impact

• Learn how providers use our product in conjunction with their EHR to suggest improvement opportunities
• Learn how clinical staff help patients between appointments to improve the effectiveness of treatment
• Share ideas for AI-enabled workflows to make every patient interaction impactful
• Identify ways to unify cross-platform features for seamless experiences

Ensure Data Quality, Trust, and Compliance

• Implement observability tooling to surface data for Product, Engineering, and other teams
• Build systems that are auditable, secure, and compliant with healthcare data standards (e.g., HIPAA)

You’ll Be Great in This Role If You…

• Have 2–4+ years of experience building production software systems
• Are fluent in modern web application stacks (React, Node.js/Express)
• Write clean and maintainable TypeScript/JavaScript code that scales
• Understand how to model most domain concepts to relational databases for both application and analytical use
• Have worked in the Healthcare industry
• Are familiar with EHR integrations (Athenahealth)
• Are eager to learn and share knowledge
