ABOUT BOOSTED COMMERCE

Boosted Commerce (founded in 2019) is a digitally native, CPG platform focused on building beauty, health, and wellness brands. We are a seasoned team of traditional retail and ecommerce operators and are looking for highly motivated people who thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere to join us. If that sounds like you—reach out!

IN YOUR NEW ROLE

At Boosted, we manage a portfolio of fast-growing beauty, health, and wellness brands across e-commerce channels and our own websites. Behind every brand sits a tech stack that powers our data pipelines, AI capabilities, and the cloud infrastructure our analytics and operations teams rely on every day. In your new role as Director of Technology, you will own the systems, security posture, and infrastructure that keep Boosted running—translating business priorities into reliable technology, hardening our environment, and partnering with cross-functional teams to scale our capabilities without slowing momentum.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Strategy and Leadership

  • Define and execute the company's technology strategy, setting direction across cloud, IT operations, data engineering, and AI while balancing build-vs-buy against cost, risk, and speed
  • Establish technology policies, standards, and SOPs that improve reliability, security, and operational consistency

Cloud Infrastructure and IT Operations

  • Own the cloud environment (compute, storage, databases, serverless, networking) and ensure it is scalable, secure, observable, and cost-efficient
  • Oversee IT operations including endpoint management, MDM, endpoint security, and the full hardware lifecycle from provisioning through offboarding
  • Administer productivity and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint) and serve as the senior technical escalation point for incidents that exceed first-line support
  • Enforce security best practices including credential rotation, secrets management, endpoint protection, and certificate lifecycle, and lead remediation when compliance gaps surface

Data Pipelines and Engineering Infrastructure

  • Oversee data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, orchestration, and data integration across marketing, e-commerce, and operations sources, ensuring reliability, observability, and timely error monitoring
  • Administer the data warehouse environment (access, performance, security, cost) and lead infrastructure-side initiatives such as authentication migrations and platform upgrades

AI Infrastructure and Enablement

  • Own the AI infrastructure—model access, API integrations, and the platforms connecting AI tooling to internal data and workflows
  • Establish standards for safe and effective AI use (governance, access controls, secrets, cost monitoring) and lead the implementation of high-impact internal AI initiatives in partnership with analytics, brand, and operations teams

Vendor and Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Own relationships, contracts, and budget for core technology vendors and MSPs, including renewals, right-sizing, and negotiation of new partnerships
  • Serve as the connective tissue between technology, analytics, finance, and brand teams—translating business needs into reliable systems, leading projects from scoping to delivery, and communicating clearly with executive stakeholders

TO BE THE BEST FIT FOR THIS ROLE YOU NEED

  • 7+ years of experience in IT, infrastructure, or technology leadership roles, with at least 2-3 years owning end-to-end technology for a growing company
  • Hands-on expertise with public cloud infrastructure and modern productivity platforms at the administrator level
  • Strong working knowledge of MDM, endpoint security, and modern identity and access management
  • Experience supporting data engineering environments, including data warehouses, orchestration tools, and ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, including model APIs, integrations, and the security and governance considerations of deploying AI internally
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a lean environment—this is a hands-on leadership role, not a pure people-management role

BOOSTED COMMERCE OFFERS

  • Salary: $150,000 - $180,000
  • Growth company at a pivotal juncture
  • Hybrid Opportunity
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.)
