Company Overview:

Of the 20% of children ages 3 and under (2.5MM children in the US) eligible for Early Intervention Services, only 3.7% (97K children) are receiving the necessary services. Ladder Health’s mission is to ensure all children with developmental delays have the support and care they need to reach new heights.

Ladder Health’s solution is comprehensive, virtual care for early childhood developmental delays, developed and tested with Boston Children’s Hospital. Our vision is to empower all parents and caregivers with the tools and quality support they need to help their child thrive.

Job Summary:

As a Child Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to shape the clinical model at a fast-growing start-up. This is an incredible chance to directly impact the lives of young children and their families by enabling increased access to equitable care and improved clinical outcomes.

You will work closely with the clinical team at Ladder Health and be deeply involved in care delivery and coordination, developing patient resources, and empowering families to help their children thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual intake appointments with Ladder Health families to share educational content about development and answer questions about common topics such as temper tantrums, milestones, and sleep
  • Direct families to the appropriate resources within Ladder Health including the exercise library or appointments with Ladder Health clinicians
  • Communicate with families to check in on their questions, their experience with the Ladder Health resources, and other topics
  • Work to improve the platform including review of developmental screener and associated escalation logic, expansion of the exercise library, and other product enhancements and extensions

Experiences and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in child development, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children either through an Early Intervention program, preschool/daycare, or other community organizations
